This is pretty old news for most people in the development arena, but for my friend Casto here it is. A DotNetNuke Portal running on Linux:

Pretty nice. So, I haven’t seen any posts (yet) of anyone attempting this with Windows SharePoint Services. WSS has its own challenges such as its dependence on COM and all the preconfigured path names (C:\Program Files\ etc). Maybe in time though, that challenge will also be overcome.
Cool, We work with Sharepoint at work. It seems to be the defacto for alot of enterprises. I am interested in DotNetNuke, I will have to do some research on it.

Grasshopper (Mainsoft’s product) requires source code access. So, for now, until WSS will be an open-source product, there’s no chance of running it on linux.
